Lionel Andreas Messi is an Argentinian footballer who plays
for FC Barcelona at club level.
Sportsmen regard him as the Greatest of All Time (G.O.A.T). He is the first
player to win six (6) Ballon D'or in football history.

Leo Messi as his fans call him was born on the 24th of June,
1987 in Rosario Argentina. His mother was a cleaner and his father a steel
worker. His love for football was superb.
At the early age of 11, he was diagnosed with blue growth
hormone deficiency (GHD). Treatment of this was very expensive. River plate, a
club at Argentina wanted Messi but was not willing to pay for his medical
treatment.
Leo's family had some relatives in Catalonia. In September
2000, Charly Rexach who was the director wanted to sign him but there was a law
which forbids clubs in Europe to sign foreign players of such age.
On 14 December, Rexach Charly with no paper offered a
contract on a napkin. The family moved to Barcelona in an apartment near Camp
Nou in February 2001. Messi could play in only friendlies and Catalan league as
a foreigner.
In February 2002, Messi was finally enrolled in the RFEF.
Messi became known in a Copa Catalunya final between Espanyol. Barcelona had a

e he scored 2 goals in 10 minutes before been substituted. His best friends were Gerard Pique and Cesc Fabregas.
At the end of the season, he had an offer from Arsenal but
chose to remain in Barcelona whiles Fabregas and Pique left for England.
Barcelona took care of for his needs and provided him all
the support that he needed to become the player he is now. They gave his
parents job at Barcelona with good income.
So after all this why would he want to leave such a club.
The fans adore him to death and he is treated as a king. So he is not willing
to leave the club to any other club. Although his is aging and many football fans argue that he s\might leave the club but it is still not certain where the legend want to end his career
