Manchester United may sell Paul Pogba to raise funds for a Jadon Sancho deal
Jesse Lingard, Marcos Rojo, and Andreas Pereira could all be sold as well
United chief Ed Woodward has ruled out big money moves in the summer
Manchester United are prepared to listen to bids for Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard this summer in order to raise funds for transfer target Jadon Sancho, according to The Sun.
United chief Ed Woodward has warned that the purse strings will be tight in the coming transfer window due to the financial uncertainty the coronavirus pandemic has brought.
With Sancho valued at £100million by Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United may be forced into a clear out if they want to get their man.
Jadon Sancho is a high priority target, but United finances are tight due to the coronavirus
Luckily for Manchester United, it appears Juventus are ready to pull out all the stops to bring Pogba back to Serie A.
However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer did spend £47million on Bruno Fernandes in January, which might give United chiefs pause ahead of spending even more cash this year.
Jesse Lingard, Marcos Rojo, and Andreas Pereira could also be sold to fund a deal for Sancho
Pogba has long been looking for an exit route from Old Trafford, while Lingard has fallen down the pecking order in Solskjaer's plans.
The Sun claims Marcos Rojo, Chris Smalling, and Andreas Pereira are all potential players who could also be sold to fund a move.
Sancho has made a tremendous impact this season for Dortmund, as evidenced by his return of 17 goals and 19 assists in 35 appearances.
His current contract at Dortmund is set to run until the summer of 2022, but there remains much speculation regarding his future.
After starting out at Watford and then moving to Manchester City as a youth player, Sancho joined Dortmund in 2017 in a move that has worked out extremely well.
